There aren't many DIY Christmas ornaments as beloved or as iconic as angels (though snowman ornaments may be a close second). And because angel ornaments have a basic shape that includes simply wings, a noggin, and a body, they tend to be easy to make at home. With just a little creativity you can craft them from almost anything, like the following DIY angel ornaments we've found made out of wine corks, pine cones, seashells, and even Mason jar lids. Most of them, like the beautiful paper plate and coffee filter angels, are so simple they can be created with the help of your kids, so not only do you have a lovely decoration for your tree, you have the memory of your family making it.

Once you've made your angel ornaments, you can work on other homemade creations to round out your Christmas tree decor, from glittery ornaments for a bit of sparkle, to cinnamon or salt dough ornaments, to photo ornaments to commemorate your family's year. If you can't get enough of Christmas crafts, you can also dress up the rest of your home for the holidays with more DIY touches like easy pine cone crafts, garlands, and wreaths.
